1Leisure’s reopening procedures and guidance

Whether you are looking to use our Tone Zone gyms, swimming pool, squash or badminton courts, everything you need to know about how we’re keeping you safe, adhering to social distancing and what to expect when you visit is detailed below.

From Sunday 1 November, everyone is required to wear a mask on entry to the centres. You must wear a mask until you are inside the Tone Zone, fitness class or squash court.

What you need to do before you visit

  • Buy your special Tone Zone gym membership on our bookings tab.
  • Book your gym, lane swimming session or fitness class on our bookings tab.

What do you need to bring with you

  • A mask – for all public areas and moving between sessions.
  • As few items as possible – changing rooms, lockers and showers are closed
  • Bring plenty of water – our water fountains and vending machines aren’t available

What to do when you arrive

  • Wait outside – we’ll meet you, bring you in and show you where to go
  • Don’t arrive too early, five minutes is plenty of time
  • Remember to keep apart
  • Sanitise your hands as soon as you enter

Closed facilities

At this time, the following facilities are unavailable:

  • Health suite

Coronavirus

You must not visit any Leisure Centre if you have symptoms of Coronavirus. Symptoms can include:

  • A new or persistent cough
  • A high temperature
  • A loss or change to your taste or sense of smell

What you need to know to come to our fitness classes

  • The government guidelines don’t allow you to bring a towel with you
  • Keep apart, even if you’re from the same household
  • Sanitise your hands regularly – we’ve provided lots of stations
  • Don’t share equipment
  • Please bring plenty of water.
  • Please bring your own fitness mats.

What you need to know to use our Tone Zone gyms

  • The government guidelines don’t allow you to bring a towel with you
  • Keep apart, even if you’re from the same household
  • Pick up your own personal cleaning spray and cloth – we’ll show you where from
  • Clean everything before and after use
  • Sanitise your hands regularly – we’ve provided lots of stations
  • Don’t share equipment and don’t move it from designated areas
  • We’ve unlocked our equipment so there is no need for you to touch the screens
  • At the end of your session we’ll show you where to dispose of your cloth and spray then we’ll escort you to the exit
  • Don’t forget to book in for your next session too

What you need to know to use our swimming pools

  • Arrive ‘pool ready’ – lockers, changing rooms and showers are closed
  • Keep apart – we’ve marked out areas for you to leave your belongings and quickly dry off 
  • You need to be a competent lane swimmer – 45 minute of swimming with minimal rest breaks
  • You can choose slow, medium or fast lane swimming – see what each pool is offering here
  • At the end of your session, we’ll escort you to the exit
  • Don’t forget to book in for your next session too

What you need to know to use our squash courts

  • Arrive ready to play – lockers, changing rooms and showers are closed
  • Keep apart – you must queue outside on arrival and all games must be socially distanced .
  • You must bring own racquets, balls, towels and water. No hire available.
  • Sanitise hands before entering court.
  • No touching of walls or glass whilst playing.
  • At the end of your session, we’ll escort you to the exit.
