Taking place in the deep end of the main pool, Aqua Deep provides a non-impact class which works the full body, with a particular focus on core work. Participants are provided with a floatation belt to help with buoyancy and aqua mitts to add extra resistance to the exercises. Although floatation belts are worn, this class is not recommended for weak swimmers.
Aquacise uses the resistance of the water to push and pull against to offer a full body cardio workout. It combines a mixture of body weight and water dumbbell exercises. As well as improving heart health, it also strengthens the muscles. The water offers good support which means it is much kinder on the joints than land-based classes as the impact is reduced.
